2023 NEW YORK MEMBERSHIPS

I know - we didn’t want to call it a Co-op because it’s reminiscent of patchouli and 50 pounds bags of quinoa.

It’s not a co=op, CSA, or a farmstand. Those are cool, but not things we do.

We don’t buy seeds from seed companies in the spring and have typical varieties. We develop new varieties, preserve rare orphan ones, work with other breeders, and grow them seed to seed. These are personal 1-to-1 relationships where members are collaborative participants, as our restaurant chefs. The co-op is limited to a small cohort because of those intensive interactions.

Members can enjoy the “one of a kind” products we grow, the seeds and plants we have, taste new trialing varieties and have actual discussions about “biodiversity” with farmers and growers who do the work from start to finish. You will get products no one else has. More importantly, you can be a part of evolving conversations about seeds and food.

We have a myriad of truly interesting options of products to eat or grow and what you decide to spend your money on is completely up to you.

This is a new structure we have decided to work with this year, in order to truly engage people with these issues that have been so central to our mission. The members, just like our chefs, fund this critical endeavor that supports the greater good. #truefacts
